Russian Scientists Discover a Way of Transmuting a Element

The pace at which technological advancements are occurring enables us to witness innovations which were once imagined impossible. Elements have a special place regarding science and inventions, as it is elements with which new things come into existence. Recently, Russian scientists have come up with a technology that can transfer one element into another one.

The technology invented by the Russian scientists alters the proton of an element and thereon changes the atom itself by making one element from the other one. The announcement was made by the scientists recently, only after two successful tests. In the trial tests, the chemical elements were transmuted to become other elements.

Researcher Vladislav Karabanov at the conference stated, “The essence of this discovery and the technology boils down to the development of an industrial method for the transformation of chemical elements into other elements and their isotopes.” He further added, “What we’ll have to show you today is the transmutation without nuclear reactors, without heavy water, or anything of the kind, to obtain a transmutation of elements. Our approach to the transmutation of chemical elements is biochemical in nature.”

This discovery by the scientists will even benefit in various ways. Explaining usage of the historical discovery Vladislav Karabanov said, “The invention allows to obtain valuable radioactive elements, to carry out the inactivation of nuclear waste from the conversion of waste radioactive isotopes of elements into stable isotopes.”

Moreover, “the method allows to obtain rare and valuable elements: polonium, radon, francium, radium, and actinides – actinium, thorium, protactinium, uranium, neptunium, and various isotopes of these and other elements.”

The invention of the process of creating an element from another is transformative. The scientists mainly aim to use this process for the space industry. Thereby it helps in discovering things that are still not known to the world.
